When clinically appropriate, controlled medications may be prescribed in accordance with Illinois and Indiana state law and federal telehealth regulations.

Patients prescribed controlled substances must comply with all monitoring and follow-up requirements, including periodic in-person visits when required.

Do I need to visit a physical office in Illinois and Indiana?
Telehealth availability depends on the patient’s location, insurance requirements, clinical needs and the medication being prescribed. Premier Psychiatry generally requires at least one in-person visit annually. Patients receiving controlled medications may be required to complete an in-person appointment by the third visit and periodically thereafter, as well as drug screening when clinically appropriate.

Where must I be located during my appointment?
You must be physically located in Illinois and Indiana at the time of your telehealth visit.

Is telepsychiatry secure?
