Premier Psychiatry is a psychiatry practice serving children, adolescents, adults and older adults. Under the leadership of Pradeep Thapar, MD, FAPA, every new patient begins with a comprehensive psychiatric evaluation that reviews symptoms, history, prior treatments and goals before any treatment is recommended.
From there, your provider builds an individualized treatment plan centered on medication management, with advanced options such as TMS and Spravato® when appropriate. Appointments are available in person in Orland Park and Willowbrook and by telehealth.

The Four Pillars of Premier Psychiatric Care

1. Comprehensive Diagnostic Evaluations
Each initial evaluation reviews your history, previous treatments and current symptoms, so we can build an accurate diagnosis and a trusting partnership with you.
2. Advanced Treatment Options
When antidepressants have not helped enough, the practice offers FDA-approved Spravato® (esketamine) nasal spray for adults, given only in a REMS-certified setting with monitoring for at least 2 hours after each dose, and non-invasive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS). Your provider can discuss whether either may be appropriate for you.
3. Pharmacogenomic Testing
When clinically appropriate, GeneSight® testing uses a cheek swab to look at genetic variations that can affect how your body processes certain medications. Results can help inform, not dictate, medication decisions.
4. Timely, Accessible Care
Same-day or next-day appointments when available. Our psychiatrists, nurse practitioners and physician assistants see patients in person in Orland Park and Willowbrook and by telehealth. Contact our team to check availability.
Pradeep Thapar

Leading Premier Psychiatry since 1999.
Pradeep Thapar completed his residency in General Psychiatry at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC), where he served as Chief Resident, and a Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship at Northwestern University and Wayne State University. Since 1995, he has been dedicated to providing comprehensive psychiatric care.
He has owned Premier Psychiatry since 1999, where he continues to lead a team dedicated to improving mental health outcomes.
Rooted in Orland Park & Willowbrook, serving the south and western suburbs.
Premier Psychiatry treats patients in person at our Orland Park and Willowbrook offices. Telehealth video visits are available for patients located in Illinois or Indiana during the visit. Availability varies by provider, and our office will confirm whether a video visit is right for you.
